CONTEST GUIDELINES
- The competition is open to all high school, junior high school, and middle school students.
- Students must provide a written explanation of their entry in order to help the judges understand the student’s thoughts and purpose in creating the particular art piece. The written explanation should not be more than 1 typed page double-spaced.
- Each art piece must be within the theme of “Visionary Women – Light in the Darkness“. All artwork will hang at CBC Burlington church for at least 2 months. Thus, the following restrictions are strictly enforced.
- Artwork must be framed and can not be larger than 28 inches high, 28 inches wide and 4 inches deep including the frame.
- Painting: acrylic, oil, watercolors, etc.
- Drawing: pastels, color pencils, pencils, markers, charcoal, ink
- Prints: lithograph, silk screen, block prints
- Collage must be two-dimensional.
- Photography must be in JPEG format.
- Video presentation of song or poetry or dance or computer-generated art must be in MPEG-4.
- All submissions must be original arts of work and not violate any copyright laws.
- All submissions must have a typed label affix to the back of each submission.
- All submissions must be sent to media@cbcburlingtonnj.org by March 1, 2026 by midnight.
